The Film

Synopsis

When the love of his life vanishes, a bereft but resolute Irish musician stops at nothing to find her. A story of love, lust, betrayal, illusion, valour and victory, told through the lens of the guitar, chronicles an epic journey through a timeless multiverse, from darkness to light.

What makes “Fields Of Redemption” different?

Never before have conventional music videos been twinned with AI videos to represent an entire music album in film format. The result is a unique cinematic experience, where real-world events gatecrash worlds of fantasy and illusion, and where extended scenes, reminiscent of the silent movie era, help blend and bend genres into a compelling narrative

MAIN ACTORS:

Joe Hodgson

Although he appeared in an assortment of music videos, this is Joe’s first role in an actual film. He explains, “Acting beside someone of the calibre of Hugo Nicolau was quite daunting, but it was also great fun, and I think the results are pretty cool. My main job, though, was plotting the course of the film.

With the conventionally shot videos, we decided to use some elements of voiceover narration, which, rather than telling too much of the story, merely signpost it for the viewer. This was crucial in linking the band performance elements in particular. However, the AI videos took an entirely different course, and they enabled us to create exotic, chaotic, and often surreal locations that would have been otherwise impossible to do.

I’m a huge fan of the silent movie era, and that was where we went in the second half of the movie. As in that era, the music provides emotional context, guides the narrative, and creates an engaging atmosphere for the audience. It serves as the film’s voice, and I believe the music as a whole in the film enhances the story by setting the mood for everything”.

I took a chance and asked her to be in the film, and she turned out to be a total natural”. Nico Frye

AI Creator

Nico Frye is a German-based AI wizard who specialises in film and advertising. He explains, “This was probably one of the most challenging works I have done to date. Joe had a very clear vision and very specific storylines, which really pushed the boundaries of what is currently possible with AI. Creating such a complex narrative was not easy, but the process was incredibly rewarding, and it’s something I’m very proud of”.
